Meanwhile, the kidnapping accused Shiv Shakti Kumar married his niece Sajal Sindhu in Khagaria’s Katyayani temple as per Hindu customs. After the marriage, both of them came in front of the media and presented their side.
During this, the newly married couple appealed to the society to not just read about love in books but also to adopt it. At the same time, they also requested the Vaishali police administration that the FIR lodged for kidnapping is completely false. We have married of our own free will. At the same time, Sajal Sindhu has mailed the Human Rights Commission, Bar Council and Chief Justice to protect her life and property. Along with this, Deputy Commissioner Shiv Shakti Kumar has demanded security, saying that his life is in danger. However, Shiv Shakti did not reach his Begusarai Municipal Corporation office nor have both reached home. After these incidents, the Bihar government has suspended the Deputy Municipal Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Shiv Shakti Kumar, with immediate effect for disappearing from his office without informing. At the same time, after this incident, both are currently living at a hideout in Khagaria.
Coming in front of the media, Shiv Shakti said that if you love, then you should be dedicated to love. You should not get caught up in financial temptation and social prestige. You should not get married by falling into these traps. We have shown dedication towards love and we have set an example of marriage without dowry. The dowry system will end only when we adopt it. He said that people of the society do not know the fundamental rights. People consider social tradition as morality. Due to this, love marriage is opposed, this is wrong. It is a fundamental right to love and marry by devoting oneself to love.
At the same time, the girl said that my name is Sajal. My house is in Manua. My father’s name is Professor Vijay Kumar Garg. We both love each other for about 10 years. Now we have got married. Getting married is our fundamental right. According to the Constitution, the right to choose the groom should be mine, so I am doing it and we both have married each other.
Deputy Commissioner Shiv Shakti Kumar said that a case of kidnapping has been registered against us in Hajipur Sadar police station of Vaishali district. We have not done kidnapping or immoral act, but love marriage. Administration should provide security for our lives. On the other hand, Sajal Sindhu said that we have married after love. This is a challenge, but we cannot change our decision by running away from challenges. If we have fallen in love then we got married, there is nothing big in it. It is a big thing for those who do not understand these things. We are giving a message to the family and society that whatever you are not able to implement in your behavior, you should try to implement it. There are many ideals mentioned in books, which everyone has read. But the important thing is how much we are able to implement it in practical life.
Sajal said that our ancestral home is the same place. We both have been together since 2015. After passing matriculation in 2015, I went to Central Hindu Girl School in Banaras to study intermediate. Shiv Shakti went to do PG, we both knew each other before. We already understood each other’s ideology, when we got time there, we got to know and understand each other’s ideology deeply. Gradually, love grew. Progressing in a phased manner, on 14 August, we got married for love in front of Maa Katyayani, the famous Shakti Peeth of Khagaria. It is an irony of the society that today we have to tell that we have got married for love. We have entered the modern world outside the colonial era. Shiv Shakti’s ideology influenced me, the decisions he takes are constitutional and according to the law. He always takes the right decision. There are fights in love and today we have to fight to prove our love. We had inspired Shiv Shakti with our behavior. That is why he said for the first time that it seems we are made for each other. If we come together, we can do better work for the world. It is important to use the fundamental rights. People change as soon as they become officers. I also felt for a moment that Shiv Shakti has become an officer and will change. If he had separated, my dream would never have come true. Now we have done a love marriage and have decided in our mind that we will prepare for UPSC.
Sajal told that my father died on January 2, 2023. I was under mental pressure for one and a half years. I was breaking down. Now with the blessings of Maa Durga and Lord Krishna, Shiv Shakti has become a partner. An FIR has been registered against us and Shiv Shakti in Vaishali, in which apart from her brother-in-law, mother and brother working in Pune, another person’s name is also there. An attempt has been made to disturb the lives of both of us through the FIR. My appeal to our family is that I have known Shiv Shakti for 10 years. But I have known the family for 24 years. I request that our family members should include the things read in books in their lives. Accept our relationship, we are their children. They should understand that love is a personal decision. Do not interfere in it.
At the same time, we request the Vaishali administration that there is no truth in the kidnapping FIR. If that were the case, we would not have come out and talked. The society has accepted social evils and traditions as constitutional rules. This is sad. For the safety of not only my husband’s family but also the women of the entire society, we have mailed the National Human Rights Commission, State Human Rights Commission, Bar Council of Bihar and the judge of Vaishali Court. We have given them proof that we have married according to Hindu customs. We have not only married but also told them what love is. I will set an example even after my life, love is true.
In this regard, Begusarai Municipal Corporation Mayor Pinky Devi has said that the Municipal Corporation office was misused by Deputy Municipal Commissioner Shiv Shakti. Due to this, a team was formed and ordered to investigate it. The investigation was found correct and after the investigation, he has been suspended by the Urban Development and Housing Department. She said that love marriage is not wrong. But the Municipal Corporation office and position were misused. He made a video in the Municipal Corporation office itself and made it viral on social media, which is wrong.
